2nd Grade Curriculum
Second grade curricula usually come in kids designed for homeschooling, and they may contain a variety of materials including text books, workbooks, printable worksheets, DVDs, or other resources. Typical subjects covered in second grade are multiplication and division, measurements, working with time and money, spelling and vocabulary, and early science, history, social studies, and geography.
What is 2nd Grade Curriculum?
In 2nd grade, students learn to read and write more complex sentences, and began to explore different genres of literature. They also expand their mathematical knowledge, learning to solve problems with greater accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, students learn about different cultures and historical events through social studies and science.
They will also read longer chapter books and learn to write persuasive essays and friendly letters. In math, second graders will learn about place value, addition, subtraction, and telling time.
