Geology
What is Geology?
Geology is the study of the Earth's solid surface, consisting of rocks and minerals. It includes the study of their formation, composition, and history. Geologists also study the processes that shape and change the Earth's surface, including erosion, plate tectonics, and volcanism.
Geologists use a variety of techniques to learn about the Earth, including field observations, laboratory analysis, and computer modeling. They also use geological data to help solve problems in engineering, environmental science, and other fields.
