About Geometry

Geometry is the study of shapes, sizes, and positions of figures in space. It is broken down into two subcategories: Euclidean geometry and transformational geometry. Euclidean geometry is based on a set of axioms, or rules, that are accepted without proof. Transformational geometry is the study of how figures can be moved or transformed in space.

Geometry is a branch of mathematics that deals with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces, solids, and higher dimensional analogues. More advanced topics include coordinate geometry, three-dimensional geometry, topology, and Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry.

Geometry is one of the oldest branches of mathematics, dating back to ancient Greece.
